Pack of 20 die-cut stickers.
Fetishes are described as being an inanimate object worshiped for its supposed magical powers, or because it is considered to be inhabited by a spirit. The word "fetish" is mostly an archaic term, stepped in its own dubious connotation. Though items imbued with magical power exist in many different forms in all cultures throughout history, the word "fetish" has a particularly "othering" presence, not only because it has come to embody an entirely different definition today. In that sense, "fetish" is a "fetishized" word.
This sticker pack contains 20 stickers from original gouache/charcoal illustrations to decorate notebooks, laptops, and other personal items. The illustrated fetishes are referenced from Fetishes and Carvings of the Southwest. Though originally items of worship, fetishes have often been misappropriated as works of art and often recreated as tourist items. These stickers call on their commanding visual power as creative works while paying homage to their oft-forgotten mystical power.
