you are out hunting when your leg is caught in a snare trap. you are stranded, hanging by your leg for hours, becoming dizzy as the blood pools in your head. you claw and thrash, but your efforts are of no use. you cannot reach your foot.
a gerbil crosses your path and notices you are struggling. it cautiously approaches you and offers to climb up your arm and chew you down from above, on a single condition: that you do not eat it or its family for the rest of time. you scoff at idea. how could an animal with such little teeth chew through the thick of the rope?
you shed a tear as you realise this little animal must be making fun of you in your dying moments. you should eat it for the sake of your dignity, and to maybe get a little relief from the hunger pangs before you go. what do you do?
